Someone I used to Know: DB Style

Daniel Bortz grabbed my attention with his edit of of Jame's Blake's Limit to your love. He has been smashing dj sets and dropping great tracks all throughout 2011. He just reposted this edit of the Gotye track 'Somebody that i used to know' feat Kimbra. The original of this track is very infectious with the vocals reminiscent of a melancholy 80's ballad. Kimbra's vocals complement and contrast making this a solid track to edit into a jamming deep dance track. DB does just that by focusing on the lazy yet full bass line while he highlights the title lyric throughout the edit. Backed with a signature DB thump, this tune does not let down As per usual Daniel has managed to capture the best parts of a great track and delivers a dancefloor ready version of this tight piece of music. Keep the dope jams coming Daniel, and thanks for the download!

Alexis Raphael is a Creche Resident in London who has had a big release on Hot Waves this year called 'Spaceship'. Hailing from London, his tunes are garnering some big support across the underground. This little edit of Wham will get the floor moving every time. Yet another great free dl during the holidays. Look out for A.R. in 2012 as Hot Creations prepares to drop his EP early in the year. M.A.M. Holiday Love: Daft Punk Around the World Remix

The holiday season brings out the giving spirit in so many people. SO many great edits and free download gifts have hit the webs in the last week to celebrate the season. I love this time of year! For today's post we are featuring yet another wonderful free remix gift from one of the groups we have been following on 'motional since day 1, MAM. THis time they are on the remix duties for a legendary Daft Punk track, Around the World. I cant think of a better track to give away for the holidays. Matt and Miguel have put their signature 'french touch' on this tracks bass line as well as a delightful piano riff that will surely get the hands up.
